- Choose a domain
- Choose a hosting service
- Install your platform on your host
- Secure your site
- Spread the word
Hosting Basics
There are two basic types of hosting that are relevant to you: shared hosting and VPS hosting. If you are not familiar with hosting, you may want to use a shared hosting service, as they often (but not always) have features that make some of your setup and maintenance tasks easier. However, shared hosts may have more restrictions on their terms of service than a VPS will.
